Role Overview
As a Biological/Chemical Technical Assistant, you will be a vital member of our Research & Development team, contributing to the creation and refinement of fully automated analytical systems from concept to market deployment, focusing on in vitro diagnostics and life sciences solutions.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the R&D department by preparing and executing routine laboratory procedures.
- Fabricate biochip surfaces instrumental for diagnosing neurodegenerative disorders.
- Perform biological and chemical laboratory tests and experiments.
- Accurately document and assess test results adhering to quality standards.
- Collaborate in daily laboratory operations and maintenance with team members.
- Inspect incoming goods, manage proper chemical storage, and maintain consumable inventories.
- Ensure laboratory cleanliness, organization, and the operational status of all equipment.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Successfully completed training as a Biological or Chemical Technical Assistant or an equivalent qualification in natural sciences/technology.
- Hands-on experience in laboratory work, preferably in molecular biology, chemical, or biochemical analysis.
- Proficiency with laboratory techniques such as PCR, ELISA, titrations, chromatography, spectroscopy, and the use of related equipment.
- Competence in conducting experiments, evaluating outcomes, and maintaining meticulous documentation.
- Knowledge of quality and safety protocols like GLP, GCLP, ISO, and GMP.
- Detail-oriented, methodical, and capable of independent work.
- Ability to collaborate effectively, adapt flexibly, and demonstrate high reliability.
- Good command of spoken and written German; proficiency in English is advantageous.
