Role Overview

Raffles Dubai is looking for a Bartender to join Raffles Salon, its award-winning lobby lounge. The role involves preparing and serving beverages promptly and courteously to guests and patrons. The position reports to the Outlets Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review daily event information to stay aware of VIP arrivals and special service needs.
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of bar ingredients, menu items, and drink preparation methods.
  • Deliver service to every guest with accuracy, care, and attention to detail.
  • Follow Beverage Department standard operating procedures consistently.
  • Carry trays and clear, reset tables with linen, china, glassware, and silverware.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction, address issues promptly, and update a manager on the situation and resolution.
  • Recognize regular guests when possible and serve their preferences accordingly.
  • Set up the bar properly before opening, including liquor, ice, glassware, juices, and garnishes.
  • Take and process beverage orders in correct sequence from guests and service staff, verify accuracy, and manage billing efficiently.
  • Prepare cocktails in line with the hotel’s beverage standards.
  • Receive liquor deliveries and compare them with the previous shift’s requisitions.
  • Help reduce guest-related risks associated with excessive alcohol consumption.
  • Handle requisitioning, collection, and verification of food and beverage items used in the bar area.
  • Keep the bar fully stocked and complete all opening and closing duties.
  • Cut and prepare fruit for garnishes.
  • Create visually appealing bottle and glass displays.
  • Keep the bar clean and organized, including clearing dishes and glassware regularly.
  • Protect the work area and do not leave the bar unattended unless properly relieved.
  • Assist with cleanup tasks such as removing cans and bottles, cleaning counters and rails, and clearing melting ice from bins.
  • Stay fully informed about all food and beverage services, hotel outlets, and hotel features.
  • Handle cash in line with established accounting procedures.
