Bartender

About the Role

Serving as the initial point of contact for guests at Hard Rock Cafe, the Bartender plays a pivotal role in creating a positive and memorable experience before guests reach their tables. This position combines hospitality with showmanship, requiring a diverse skill set including being a guide, communicator, and entertainer.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare drinks precisely according to specified recipes.
• Ensure responsible service of alcoholic beverages.
• Serve food items to guests.
• Manage cash and alternative payment methods efficiently.
• Execute sales transactions competently using a point-of-sale system.
• Verify identification in accordance with EU/UK licensing laws and 'Challenge 25' protocols.
• Maintain accurate cash register balances.
• Guide guests to various locations including restrooms.
• Possess thorough knowledge of all products offered.
• Apply suggestive selling techniques to maximize sales.
• Keep the bar area tidy and well-organized at all times.
• Manage inventory by conducting bar pulls and stock counts.
• Restock liquor, beer, wine, and glassware during shifts.
• Label, date, cover, and refrigerate prepared bar items properly.
• Maintain cleanliness standards using a three-compartment sink system for equipment and glassware sanitation.
• Perform opening, closing, and routine upkeep tasks including setup, breakdown, cleaning glassware and countertops, and floor sweeping.
• Provide courteous and accurate responses to guest inquiries.
• Create engaging and entertaining experiences to develop enthusiastic repeat customers.

• Capability to perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, lifting, and prolonged standing.
• Maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance following uniform standards.
