Bar Tender

Role Overview

Sheen Falls Lodge is seeking a full-time Bar Tender / Food & Beverage professional to join the team at Sheen Bar, Brasserie and Sheen Lounge in Kenmare, County Kerry. The ideal candidate will bring solid experience in beverage and cocktail preparation, bar and food service, and a strong commitment to delivering polished 5-star service with attention to detail.

What You’ll Be Expected to Do

• Serve beverages and food across the Sheen Lounge, Restaurant Lounge, Library, Drawing Room, Bar and Brasserie according to the schedule.
• Prepare drinks for the Signature Restaurant.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in line with HACCP and the hotel’s own standards.
• Deliver service in a friendly, efficient and professional manner.
• Handle opening and closing routines and complete micros balancing.

Essential Knowledge and Experience

• Strong understanding of food and beverage service standards, presentation quality and beverage products.
• Good knowledge of drinks, including their origins.
• Confident cocktail-making knowledge.
• Familiarity with stock rotation, proper storage and keg change procedures.
• Ability to adapt quickly to guest needs and handle requests professionally, even at short notice.
• Capability to work as part of a team while consistently meeting and exceeding guest expectations.
• Awareness that food, snacks and afternoon tea are served in the bar daily from 10:00 am to 9:30 pm, and that this forms part of the bar tender role.

Working Pattern

This is a full-time rostered position that includes weekend and evening shifts.
