The bakery team creates high-quality artisan breads, pastries, cookies, and muffins, contributing to a memorable shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow company policies, standards, and procedures rigorously in all situations.
• Welcome customers courteously and provide excellent service aligned with Safeway's customer service programs.
• Operate baking equipment such as ovens and fry donuts (specific to Alberta and British Columbia locations).
• Prepare various bakery items following Safeway recipes to ensure superior product quality.
• Maintain attractive and company-standard merchandise presentation for baked goods.
• Receive, store, and organize product orders responsibly.
• Clean and sanitize bakery equipment to maintain hygiene standards.
• Manage the replenishment and rotation of baked items in showcases.

• Continuous standing, walking, gripping, and reaching throughout shifts.
