About the Role and Company
This position is based at Safeway grocery store, part of Sobeys Inc., located in Spruce Grove, Alberta. The bakery team creates high-quality artisan breads, pastries, cookies, and muffins, contributing to a memorable shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow company policies, standards, and procedures rigorously in all situations.
- Welcome customers courteously and provide excellent service aligned with Safeway's customer service programs.
- Operate baking equipment such as ovens and fry donuts (specific to Alberta and British Columbia locations).
- Prepare various bakery items following Safeway recipes to ensure superior product quality.
- Maintain attractive and company-standard merchandise presentation for baked goods.
- Receive, store, and organize product orders responsibly.
- Clean and sanitize bakery equipment to maintain hygiene standards.
- Manage the replenishment and rotation of baked items in showcases.
