Role Overview
Techno Q is looking for an Audio Visual Solutions Developer to support the design and documentation of AV systems for project delivery. The role focuses on producing technical drawings, detailed bills of quantities, schematic designs, and coordination support for the wider projects team.
Key Duties
- Take ownership of preparing and submitting shop drawings.
- Examine tender documents and RFQ packages to understand project needs.
- Develop detailed bills of quantity for AV solutions.
- Create complete schematic designs for the proposed systems.
- Participate in coordination workshops and provide technical assistance to the project team.
- Compile regular progress updates, including monthly and annual reports and drawing logs.
- Evaluate system proposals via delegated design review responsibilities.
- Help upskill design team members and draughtsmen through training that improves efficiency and team output.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunications, or a closely related discipline. A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in AV system design is expected, preferably gained in a consultancy or system integrator setting. Strong working knowledge of AV standards, signal types, and system integration is essential, along with proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Visio, and similar design/documentation tools. Familiarity with control and DSP platforms such as Crestron, AMX, Extron, QSC, and Biamp is important. The role also requires strong communication, documentation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, plus the capacity to handle several projects and deadlines at the same time. AVixa or CTS-D certification is preferred.
