Position Summary
We are seeking an energetic and highly organized Auction Sales Coordinator to oversee the complete sales process of salvage assets throughout Canada. This role involves handling diverse inventories ranging from damaged heavy agricultural machinery in Saskatchewan to commercial cargo and household items in the Maritimes. Ideal candidates are seasoned traditional road sales professionals looking to transition to remote-auction management while maintaining a strong presence in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing auctions by coordinating the listing, marketing, and sale of various salvage assets including farm and heavy agricultural equipment, cargo, commercial, and residential goods.
- Identifying and actively pursuing new buyers nationwide to foster competitive bidding and maximize asset returns.
- Serving as the main communication link between sellers and potential purchasers to facilitate smooth transactions.
- Managing multiple auction files concurrently with close attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
- Executing outbound outreach through cold-calling and networking to cultivate a specialized buyer database.
- Launching and overseeing all digital auctions ensuring accuracy and appeal of listings.
- Maintaining vendor and buyer relationships by acting as the primary contact throughout auctions and managing post-auction processes to ensure smooth handovers.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven familiarity with auction management including detailed categorization and tracking of auction lots.
- Experience or willingness to quickly acquire sector knowledge in agriculture, industrial, construction, and commercial goods sales and client management.
- Strong technical proficiency with CRM software, auction platforms, and Google Workspace tools.
- Self-driven and capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with the team.
- Awareness of auction processes with previous industry experience being advantageous.
- Appraisal skills are considered a beneficial asset.
