Assistant Store Manager

Role Overview

The Assistant Store Manager plays a critical role in supporting the Store Manager by overseeing daily store functions, ensuring excellent customer experiences, and meeting sales targets. In the Store Manager's absence, this position assumes full managerial duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in managing store operations and supervising staff.
• Support merchandising, inventory stocking, and unpacking of merchandise shipments.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and handle escalated concerns effectively.
• Lead employee training, coaching, and professional development activities.
• Manage cash handling and perform opening and closing procedures as required.
• Delegate tasks within the team while maintaining store safety and cleanliness standards.
• Conduct periodic performance reviews, providing constructive feedback to staff.
• Ensure full compliance with corporate policies and safety regulations.
• Maintain high visual merchandising standards throughout the store.
• Participate in recruitment, hiring processes, and manage employee performance.

Qualification Criteria

• At least two years of experience working in retail.
• A minimum of two years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
• Availability to work varied shifts across days, evenings, and weekends.
• Strong leadership capabilities combined with excellent communication and decision-making skills.
• Effective multitasking ability and prioritization skills in a fast-moving retail environment.
