Job Overview
This role is integral to Maybank Singapore's Audit Team, focusing primarily on auditing Anti-Money Laundering (AML), sales and advisory processes, and operational fraud controls. The position ensures internal controls and risk management measures within policies, procedures, and systems are adequate and effective.
Key Duties
- Conduct audits with a deep risk-based approach, driven by data analytics and awareness of emerging trends rather than simple compliance checks.
- Collaborate with team members to generate innovative solutions addressing identified business challenges, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
- Work alongside auditors within and outside the immediate team to achieve audit objectives while fostering strong teamwork.
- Prepare comprehensive audit deliverables, including Audit Reports, issue follow-ups, and Audit Workpapers, ensuring quality and timely completion within resource constraints.
Qualifications and Experience
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Banking & Finance, Business, or related disciplines.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, or CISA are advantageous.
- Possess 2 to 8 years of relevant experience in control functions within financial institutions.
Skills and Expertise
- Familiarity with anti-money laundering controls and related local and international regulatory frameworks.
- In-depth understanding of branch operational procedures, payment systems, anti-fraud measures, sales and advisory practices, and operational risk management.
- Ability to leverage data in audit processes and make data-driven risk-based decisions.
- Strong analytical capabilities to interpret business challenges comprehensively.
- Accuracy, active listening, effective communication, and teamwork proficiency.
