Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Manager to support the Showroom Manager in driving sales targets and maintaining operational excellence at our jewellery showroom in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. This role involves supervising staff, managing customer relations, ensuring store compliance, and handling day-to-day showroom operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in setting, tracking, and achieving monthly sales objectives and key performance indicators.
  • Analyze sales metrics, discern patterns, and execute strategic plans to boost revenue and profitability.
  • Personally engage with VIP customers, corporate clients, and resolve escalated complex issues.
  • Lead and motivate floor supervisors and retail employees to sustain high productivity and morale.
  • Assess employee performance, conduct evaluations, and advise management on promotions, transfers, or disciplinary decisions.
  • Identify training gaps, organize skill enhancement sessions, and ensure comprehensive product and service knowledge among staff.
  • Authorize staff leaves, prepare shift schedules, and maintain attendance to guarantee adequate floor coverage.
  • Collaborate with HR for recruitment, onboarding, and manpower planning.
  • Enforce adherence to company HR policies, including grooming, uniform standards, and punctuality.
  • Conduct daily team briefings focused on targets, product priorities, and operational directives.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, standard operating practices, and legal regulations.
  • Oversee maintenance and functionality of showroom infrastructure, IT systems, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Manage opening and closing protocols, security measures, and cash handling processes.
  • Work closely with Visual Merchandising teams to design and implement appealing in-store displays and seasonal layouts.
  • Monitor inventory levels, coordinate replenishment with the warehouse, and minimize shrinkage or damage.

  • Promote a customer-focused environment ensuring a superior shopping experience.
