Role Overview

The Assistant Inventory Coordinator is entrusted with managing inventory control operations within the warehouse, including kitting processes at Parkmore. Ensuring proper storage, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and supporting production demands are key objectives. Success is evaluated through inventory accuracy, process enhancements, financial compliance, and audit outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handling inventory transactions and maintaining related records and procedures.
  • Participating in daily picking activities to support production needs.
  • Being fully trained on the kitting process and providing assistance as directed by senior supervisors.
  • Supporting process improvements for inventory control including monthly cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Coordinating material flow through MRB and Rework areas and managing in-process failures alongside Quality teams.
  • Supporting consigned inventory and handling receipt of incoming materials on the CSI system with accurate storage allocation.
  • Maintaining good GMP standards and housekeeping within the warehouse environment.
  • Coordinating stock receipt and shipments between the Galway and Shannon warehouses.
  • Reviewing and scrapping obsolete stock as needed and supporting ERP system enhancements.
  • Assisting with financial audits of inventory and material requisitions as required.
  • Occasionally supporting the Shannon warehouse operations upon request.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Strong familiarity with MRP/ERP systems and cycle counting methodology.
  • Experience resolving inventory discrepancies and investigations.
  • Background in regulated environments is advantageous.
  • A relevant qualification in Supply Chain or Business is preferred.

Skills and Attributes

  • Previous inventory management experience within medical device manufacturing or fulfillment.
  • Thorough understanding of supply chain and operational procedures.
  • Excellent organizational capabilities with multitasking and priority management skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation proficiency.
  • Ability to analyze data and present numerical information clearly.
  • Self-driven with capacity to independently handle pressure and shifting priorities.
  • Detail-oriented and proficient in Microsoft Excel.
