Role Overview
We are seeking a full-time Architectural Designer to work onsite in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area. This position involves creating design concepts, producing thorough architectural drawings, and supporting project documentation throughout design development and construction phases. Daily responsibilities include drafting and refining plans and elevations, coordinating with construction and interior design teams, and ensuring that design intentions are precisely reflected in construction drawings. The role requires collaboration with project managers and consultants, participation in client meetings, and revision of designs in response to feedback and regulatory standards. Additional duties include researching materials and building systems, complying with building codes, and promoting sustainable, high-quality architectural solutions.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong foundation in architecture and architectural design with the capability to develop concepts and detailed layouts.
- Expertise in construction drawings and technical documentation encompassing plans, sections, and elevations.
- Proficiency in drawing and communicating visually, including both hand sketching and digital methods.
- Knowledge of urban planning principles affecting site design and project integration.
- Experience using industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or comparable tools.
- Understanding of building codes, permitting procedures, and sustainable, energy-efficient design best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture or a closely related field; professional licensing or progress toward licensure is beneficial.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with strong teamwork skills across multidisciplinary groups.
