Analyst/Senior Analyst, Finance Business Analytics

About the Team

You will join Sea's headquarters Finance department, which is fundamental in supporting accounting and finance operations for its three major business units: Garena, Shopee, and Monee. The Finance Business Analytics team harnesses technology to streamline finance processes, enhance Hadoop reporting, boost reporting efficiency, and emphasizes data governance, security, and collaboration across functions.

Job Description

• Lead and guide finance teams in developing and modifying reports.
• Take full responsibility for managing business and segment financial reports for both country-specific and group-wide financial reporting.
• Serve as the liaison between finance and data teams.
• Develop reporting frameworks for new product functionalities within financial reports.
• Offer solutions to extract pertinent data ensuring accurate reflection of financial reporting standards.
• Identify and resolve data-related problems through communication, walkthroughs, and testing.
• Document workflows and the business logic behind processes.
• Handle stakeholders' concerns, needs, and issues relating to report modifications, improvements, or fixes.
• Apply strategic and analytical thinking to business, product, and technical challenges.
• Ensure punctual delivery of reports with utmost accuracy.

Candidate Requirements

• Possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Business Analytics, or related fields.
• Has a minimum of one year of relevant professional experience with familiarity or experience in project management tools such as Confluence or Jira considered beneficial.
• Must have knowledge of SQL; experience working with databases is advantageous.
• Preferred experience in Data Governance and Data Security.
• Strong data analytics and visualization skills, with preferred expertise in Python and/or Microsoft Power BI.
• Demonstrates teamwork, passion, dependability, and a strong work ethic.
• Adapts well and is goal-driven in a fast-moving environment with strong ownership and determination.
• Possesses excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Exhibits strong verbal and written communication skills alongside project management proficiency.
