Role overview
A major international retail group is hiring an operations manager to oversee the Amazon sales channel across the UK and Europe. The business manages several well-known consumer brands, operates at multi-billion-dollar scale, and ships goods to more than 80 countries. Its footprint includes offices in Hong Kong, China, London, France, Spain, and Germany, and it is expanding teams across functions due to strong year-on-year growth.
What you will own
This is a newly established position with end-to-end accountability for the order-to-fulfilment workflow across EU Amazon marketplaces. The role is focused on improving operational performance, strengthening the customer journey, and ensuring smooth delivery across the network.
- Lead a small team and coordinate closely with 3PL partners, warehouse teams, and Amazon fulfilment centres to remove blockers and keep operations moving.
- Act as the main contact for warehouse-related escalations and work through issues quickly with the relevant stakeholders.
- Partner with supply chain, commercial, and sales teams across Europe to align priorities and support business objectives.
- Track and evaluate KPIs including OTIF, fill rate, order accuracy, returns, and claims.
- Build dashboards, review performance trends, and identify gaps that need corrective action.
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and cost reduction measures while protecting service quality.
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the planning function and help shape a more modern demand and supply planning approach.
What the company is looking for
The ideal candidate will bring at least 3 years of experience in Amazon operations management, e-commerce, supply chain, and fulfilment. They should be analytical, solutions-focused, and comfortable using data to guide decisions. Prior experience leading, coaching, and developing teams is important.
- Hands-on experience with Amazon Vendor Central and EDI platforms.
- TrueCommerce exposure is advantageous.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Confidence working with 3PLs and across multiple EU markets.
- A continuous-improvement mindset and genuine interest in operational excellence.
- German and/or Spanish language ability is helpful but not mandatory.
Package and work setting
The role offers a salary of up to £70,000, along with a generous bonus and 33 days of holiday, bank holiday entitlement included. The office is in Central London and the position follows a hybrid working pattern.
