As an Agronomist for AG Warehouse, a major independent rural retail business in Australia affiliated with Saputo Dairy Australia, you will deliver expert on-farm agronomic advice across fertiliser use, broadacre, and pasture cropping. AG Warehouse supports customers in cropping, dairy, livestock, and lifestyle agriculture, with over 30 branches in Victoria, Tasmania, and Southern NSW.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide customized agronomic recommendations aligned with clients’ production objectives.
- Perform on-site evaluations and advise on fertiliser, pasture management, and broadacre cropping strategies.
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with existing customers, while building new client connections.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of agronomy trends, emerging technologies, and product innovations.
- Contribute to the growth and leadership of the agronomic business within the team.
Candidate Profile
- At least two years of professional experience in agronomy, particularly in pasture and/or broadacre farming.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, or a related discipline.
- Robust technical expertise and hands-on experience in delivering practical, on-farm agronomic solutions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills suited to relationship development.
- Desirable: experience or willingness to mentor junior agronomists.
