Role Overview

The Accounts Receivable Analyst plays a crucial role in managing client receivables, ensuring timely collections aligned with contractual agreements. This involves reviewing and resolving disputes related to clinical trial revenue and expenses, overseeing study accounts aging, patient billing, and contract financial trackers. The position requires cross-departmental collaboration to confirm charge validity and drive successful collection efforts from sponsors.

Key Responsibilities

• Regularly monitor assigned accounts to identify aging receivables, discrepancies, and delayed payments.
• Engage with sponsors and CROs via phone to pursue payments for outstanding invoices.
• Investigate and resolve disputes involving sponsors, patients, or customers.
• Serve as primary liaison with sponsors/CROs, maintaining strong business relationships regarding receivables.
• Reconcile study financial data with information from sponsors/CROs as necessary.
• Interpret contracts internally and externally to address payment or dispute-related issues.
• Assess medical procedure invoices against contracts to verify reimbursement eligibility.
• Identify trends negatively impacting payment or workflow and collaborate on resolution strategies.
• Coordinate with Accounting, Treasury, and Contracting departments to clarify billing concerns.
• Perform additional assigned duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant work experience may substitute for formal education.
• Minimum of 1 year experience capable of analyzing complex documentation and assessing financial implications.
• Clinical research experience is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with clinical financial systems and electronic medical records (EMRs).
