About the Role
Join ABB, a company dedicated to enabling industries to operate more efficiently and sustainably. As an Accounting and Reporting Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting accounts receivable and credit functions while ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards. You will manage and analyze record-to-report data, contributing to accurate and timely financial statements. This is an onsite full-time position reporting to the Team Lead of General Accounting within ABB's Finance Business Function.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine accounting activities and record various financial transactions accurately.
- Investigate and reconcile accounts to resolve discrepancies effectively.
- Prepare accounting analyses and reports to assist finance teams and business leaders in decision-making.
- Generate financial reports, account statements, reconciliations, and sourcing statements.
- Perform month-end closing procedures to ensure timely and precise financial close.
- Embody ABB’s core values of safety and integrity by taking responsibility for your actions while supporting colleagues and business objectives.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree or MBA in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
- Basic understanding of record-to-report (R2R), general accounting, general ledger processes, and SAP within shared services or manufacturing contexts.
- Demonstrate advanced skills relevant to the role.
- 0 to 1 year of experience in R2R and SAP is preferred.
- Strong knowledge and proficiency with SAP.
- Flexibility to work in shifts as required.
- Passion for innovation with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, comfortable interacting across teams.
