Role Overview

This opportunity is for an Accountant focused on Accounts Payable within the Finance Department of a real estate development business based in Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai, UAE. The organization is part of the Amer Al Ghurair Group and is known for delivering residential and commercial projects with an emphasis on quality, innovation, and client experience.

Position Details

The company is hiring on an urgent basis for an Accounts Payable Accountant. The role is intended for someone with hands-on AP experience who can handle invoice processing, vendor settlements, reporting, and related finance operations.

What You Will Do

• Take ownership of the complete accounts payable workflow.
• Review and process invoices from suppliers, contractors, and consultants with accuracy.
• Ensure payments are prepared and released on time.
• Match vendor statements, identify mismatches, and resolve outstanding differences.
• Build and maintain payment schedules and accurate accounting records.
• Assign expenses to the correct projects and cost centers.
• Support month-end closing activities and financial reporting tasks.
• Follow company policies, accounting standards, and internal control requirements.

What the Employer Is Looking For

The preferred candidate should have at least 2 years of accounting experience, with proven exposure to the full Accounts Payable process. Experience in the UAE real estate development sector is especially valued and will be given preference. The role also benefits from practical knowledge of invoice handling, reconciliations, payment preparation, AP reporting, project cost allocation, and contractor/supplier payment processing. Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting or ERP systems are important. Understanding of UAE VAT rules is an added advantage.
