About the Role
We are looking for Academic Researchers to support high-level research and documentation work on a remote contract basis in the United States. This role is suited to professionals who can turn complex subject matter into polished, client-ready outputs for demanding business environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out detailed research and analysis within your subject-matter specialty, producing strong evidence-based insights.
- Draft, format, and review sophisticated Word and PDF files using advanced functions such as tracked changes, form completion, and information extraction.
- Work closely with teams across legal, healthcare, policy, and finance functions to support a range of project requirements.
- Convert complicated findings into concise reports and presentation materials aligned with Fortune 500-level expectations.
- Review and combine academic papers, legal records, or industry datasets to support project decisions.
- Check all deliverables for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to the required standards and guidelines.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders and internal team members in both written and verbal formats.
Candidate Profile
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in academic research, legal work, public policy, healthcare, or a closely related field.
- A Master’s degree, PhD, or JD from an accredited institution.
- Strong hands-on experience with Word and PDF review tasks, including tracked changes, formatting, document review, and data extraction.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills, along with a very high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle several priorities at once in a remote, deadline-focused setting.
- Proven experience collaborating with professionals from multiple disciplines on complex assignments.
- A track record of producing polished, submission-ready work.
Preferred Experience
- Background working with or alongside Fortune 500 organizations.
- Familiarity with document workflows in legal, healthcare, policy, or financial operations settings.
- Published papers or presentations in academic or professional forums.
Compensation
The pay range for this contract role is $20 to $55 per hour.
