Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled z/OS expert with extensive knowledge and hands-on experience to join our team on a contract basis on-site in India. This role demands deep technical expertise and a proven ability to troubleshoot and optimize z/OS systems.
Key Responsibilities and Expertise
- Extensive experience with SMPE and z/OS mainframe systems is essential.
- A thorough understanding of z/OS internals and system architecture is required.
- Proficient in catalog management with practical hands-on experience.
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities to resolve complex system issues.
- Expertise in UNIX System Services (USS), including OMVS and USS security management.
- Experience overseeing installations of z/OS and independent software vendor (ISV) software.
- Skilled in designing and executing advanced tests to validate system functionality, robustness, and performance.
- Programming skills in REXX and Python are necessary to automate processes and develop supporting scripts.
Requirements
- A minimum of ten years of professional experience in the z/OS mainframe environment is mandatory.
