Job Overview
The WHS Officer will collaborate closely with site operations at a Fulfillment Center to implement the company's safety policies and ensure regulatory compliance within local and regional guidelines. Utilizing lean methodologies and continuous improvement strategies such as kaizens, this role focuses on minimizing ergonomic and conditional risks to create a secure and healthy workplace for employees.
Key Responsibilities
This position involves developing trust with the Operations Team and driving changes by conducting detailed risk assessments and analyzing safety data. Clear and effective communication, both written and verbal, is essential for training and guiding Operations Leaders on safety protocols and advocating for safety standards integration across site operations. The officer will identify and embed best practices into company safety policies to enhance the safety program continually.
Qualifications and Skills
The candidate should hold at least a bachelor's degree in Health and Safety or a related discipline, with experience managing safety or environmental initiatives in manufacturing, production, or service sectors. A master’s degree and Government Certified Safety Professional certification are advantageous. The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly in dynamic, fast-paced organizational environments.
