Weekend Manager

Overview

The Weekend Manager's key responsibility is to guarantee smooth, effective store operations while delivering outstanding customer service and offering fresh food in a clean, safe environment during weekend hours. This role focuses on achieving essential store goals related to sales and profitability through strong team leadership and operational management.

Candidate Profile

• At least one year of experience in roles with direct customer interaction
• Strong communication abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word
• Experience managing cash and tills accurately
• Highly motivated individual with a dedicated work ethic
• Knowledge and understanding of meeting key performance indicators and targets
• Commercial acumen and brand awareness
• Genuine enthusiasm for the grocery retail sector
• Able to collaborate effectively within a fast-moving team environment and handle multiple tasks under pressure
• Skilled in work organization, delegating tasks, and assisting team members

Primary Responsibilities

• Embody Centra's brand values: being proud, energetic, imaginative, and community focused; serve as an approachable role model promoting teamwork and positivity
• Coordinate with weekday managers/supervisors to implement layout changes properly
• Set high standards for product rotation, merchandising, and shelf organization
• Support new employee induction, training, and development efforts
• Resolve customer inquiries professionally in alignment with store policies
• Adopt and promote new initiatives and updated working methods

Additional Information

Compensation will be determined based on experience. Prior experience is a crucial factor for interview selection. The position is located in Kilcolgan, County Galway.
