Job description
Position Summary
The Web Journalist is responsible for identifying, verifying, preparing, and publishing news and informative content for SHEKULLI's online platform. This role demands continuous monitoring of current events and the ability to professionally handle topics assigned by the editorial team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Consistently track political, economic, social, and crime developments.
- Identify and suggest topics that are of interest to the audience.
- Research, prepare, and write articles for online publication.
- Verify information and sources prior to news publication.
- Follow up on specific topics and developments as requested by the editorial office.
- Update existing news items in accordance with new developments.
- Conduct interviews, reports, and other journalistic materials when required.
- Adapt content to comply with online media standards and formats.
- Collaborate closely with editors, journalists, and other editorial team members.
- Adhere to deadlines, editorial standards, and professional journalism ethics.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- At least 3 years of professional experience in online media.
- Excellent awareness of current political, economic, and crime-related developments.
- Strong writing, phrasing, and text editing abilities.
- Proficient in researching and verifying information from various sources.
- Ability to prepare news quickly and accurately.
- Capability to work both independently and collaboratively with the editorial team.
- Willingness to work in a dynamic and current affairs-driven environment.
Work Schedule
The job requires working six days per week with rotational shifts, scheduled according to editorial planning and needs.
