Job description
Job Overview and Responsibilities
The role involves receiving goods and materials, ensuring their conformity to purchase orders and delivery notes. Proper organizing and arrangement of items in the warehouse according to established standards is essential. The candidate will be responsible for issuing materials and goods to departments or beneficiaries based on approved requests, maintaining accurate stock levels, and ensuring proper storage to prevent damage or loss.
Updating inventory records, logging receipt and issuance movements in the system, and conducting periodic and annual stock counts to reconcile physical and recorded inventories are key duties. Monitoring inventory levels and notifying management when reordering is necessary ensures continuous supply. The role requires tracking expiration dates for perishable items and implementing the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principle.
Regular reporting on inventory movements and stock levels, maintaining warehouse cleanliness, and implementing occupational health and safety standards are mandatory. The candidate will coordinate with purchasing, transportation, and other departments to guarantee material availability, inspect stored materials for damage or shortages, safeguard warehouse assets, and adhere to warehouse policies and inventory management procedures. There is also an expectation to contribute to enhancing storage and handling efficiency.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum high school certificate or a diploma in warehouse management.
- At least two years of hands-on warehouse management experience.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Proficiency in computer use and warehouse software applications.
- Understanding and applying FIFO principles and inventory control techniques.
- Physical fitness suitable for fieldwork.
- High precision and attention to detail.
