About KIMS Hospital
KIMS Hospital in Maidstone is Kent's largest independent hospital focused on delivering exceptional patient care. We are currently seeking a Ward Host to join our Guest Services Team and contribute to creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for patients.
Role Overview
The Ward Host plays an essential role by supporting patients throughout their stay, primarily by assisting with meal service including taking meal orders, handling dietary requirements, and ensuring patients receive attentive and considerate care.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer meal menus, record orders, and address dietary and allergen concerns with sensitivity.
- Collaborate closely with ward and catering teams to prepare and serve food and beverages efficiently.
- Maintain strict adherence to food hygiene and safety standards.
- Monitor and document food temperatures in accordance with health regulations.
- Work in partnership with fellow staff to deliver excellent patient care experiences.
Candidate Profile
- Strong commitment to providing high-quality customer service.
- Effective communication skills combined with a compassionate and professional demeanor.
- Maintains high standards of cleanliness and personal presentation.
- Experience in hospitality or food service is preferred but not mandatory.
- A qualification in food hygiene is advantageous but not essential.
- Team-oriented with a keen eye for detail and a proactive work approach.
