Job Summary
The Video Editor will craft captivating and dynamic video content tailored for diverse uses including marketing initiatives, social media, and instructional materials. This role demands proficiency with video editing software, a creative vision, and the ability to collaborate effectively with the video production team. This is a part-time onsite opportunity based in San Francisco, CA.
Key Responsibilities
- Transform raw video and audio clips into polished final products adhering to project criteria
- Integrate music, sound effects, and other enhancements to elevate video content
- Work closely with producers and directors to grasp project objectives and specifications
- Develop motion graphics and include additional visual elements in videos
- Guarantee the final output meets quality benchmarks and deadlines
- Stay informed about the latest advancements and techniques in video editing
- Organize and maintain project files and archives for streamlined access
- Liaise efficiently with clients or stakeholders to ensure their expectations are fulfilled
- Manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines proficiently
Qualifications and Requirements
- Demonstrable experience as a video editor supported by a robust portfolio
- Expertise in video editing platforms such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer
- Understanding of video compression, encoding, and delivery standards
- Familiarity with motion graphics tools like After Effects is advantageous
- Strong detail orientation and ability to function both independently and in team settings
- Excellent communication capabilities and problem-resolution skills
- Capacity to perform efficiently under pressure and juggle multiple assignments
- A bachelor's degree in film, video production, or related disciplines is preferred but not mandatory
