Swish Breaks is a dynamic company blending sports and entertainment through the trading card hobby. We produce daily live broadcasts across platforms like Fanatics Live, Whatnot, and TikTok, featuring breaks in Sports Pokémon, WWE, Disney, and more under brands such as Swish Breaks, Swish Wax, Swish Bats, Swish Smash, Swish Sealed, and PokéSwish. Our goal is to elevate our social presence significantly and create engaging content that resonates with our community passionate about sports, cards, and pop culture.
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Video and Graphics Editor Intern skilled in tools such as CapCut, Premiere, and Photoshop to transform hours of live break footage into compelling clips tailored for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts. The role involves designing eye-catching graphics, thumbnails, and overlays that establish a recognizable brand identity. You will collaborate closely with our videographer, social media lead, and streamers to deliver daily content, highlighting memorable moments, educational segments, and the energy that defines our hobby.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit short-form videos optimized for platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, emphasizing engaging hooks, fluid pacing, and vibrant captions.
- Extract highlight clips from live breaks that capture key emotional moments such as reactions, slow-motion shots, and replays.
- Create visual elements including graphics and thumbnails for posts, stories, episode covers, and overall show branding across all Swish platforms.
- Develop cinematic editing for the Swish School educational series, enhancing the learning experience.
- Produce motion graphics and overlays for live streaming shows, recap videos, and event coverage.
- Ensure consistent visual standards across all Swish brands including Swish Breaks, Swish Smash, and PokéSwish.
- Adapt quickly to daily content delivery schedules, continuously testing and refining what resonates with the audience.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated portfolio or reel showcasing expertise in short-form video editing suited for TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts.
- Proficient with professional video and photo editing applications.
- Strong design sensibility encompassing typography, color theory, composition, and hierarchy, with the ability to recognize and avoid AI-generated or inconsistent branding elements.
- Interest and curiosity in sports, trading cards, or entertainment culture, with willingness to engage deeply in the hobby.
- Ability to operate effectively under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality output.
- Self-motivated with initiative to contribute ideas alongside task execution.
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Film, Media, Design, Communications, or equivalent self-directed experience.
