In this senior leadership role, you will set the direction for content strategy and steer the creation of compelling stories, campaigns, and creative assets that communicate Meta’s brand, products, and mission to audiences around the world.
This position operates at the crossroads of storytelling, creative strategy, and communications. You will shape how Meta appears across channels through original, high-quality content while leading a cross-disciplinary team that includes creative directors, content strategists, and production specialists. The work must connect effectively with consumers, media, policymakers, and employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and own the long-range vision for Meta’s Content Studio and company-operated social channels, making sure the work supports communications and broader business goals.
- Work closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to turn company priorities into strong creative content plans.
- Promote creative content as a key driver of Meta’s reputation, brand identity, and product communication.
- Lead the production of original assets across formats such as video, editorial, social, interactive, and multimedia content.
- Establish and maintain high creative standards and consistent quality across all studio output.
- Push experimentation in storytelling methods, content formats, and distribution approaches.
- Direct, motivate, and grow a high-performing creative organization.
- Hire, develop, and retain strong talent across the studio.
- Build a team culture centered on creativity, partnership, and decisions guided by data.
- Oversee budgets, staffing, and production processes so the studio runs efficiently and can scale effectively.
- Create and evolve measurement systems that assess content performance, audience response, and contribution to business outcomes.
Experience and Qualifications
The role calls for deep senior-level experience in content creation, creative leadership, media production, or a closely related field. Candidates should bring extensive people management experience, including leadership of directors and senior leaders, along with a record of building and scaling creative teams and content operations.
Successful candidates will also have experience developing content strategy at a large brand, media organization, agency, or technology company. Strong executive presence and the ability to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners are essential.
Preferred Background
- Experience working in technology or for a major consumer brand with global reach.
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms, digital content ecosystems, and emerging content formats.
- Background in video production, editorial work, brand storytelling, or integrated campaigns.
- Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and translate corporate strategy into creative execution.
- Comfort using data, measurement, and audience insights to refine content performance.
- Experience leading creative teams through ambiguity and organizational change.
