Role Summary
The Territory Service Representative (TSR) – Operations is charged with ensuring the prompt pickup and delivery of shipments within a designated territory, providing excellent customer service while upholding Blue Dart’s brand reputation. This role requires adherence to operational and safety procedures, accurate shipment handling, COD collection, and effective coordination with shift leaders and branch teams to meet service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute timely pickups and deliveries within assigned routes, verifying shipment accuracy and handling packages carefully to avoid damage or loss.
- Maintain consistent delivery productivity and route efficiency in line with service commitments.
- Act as the representative of Blue Dart, offering courteous, professional, and customer-focused service at all interaction points.
- Resolve simple customer queries during transit; escalate complex issues promptly.
- Manage Cash on Delivery payments accurately, ensuring proper documentation and prompt remittance.
- Ensure accurate scanning and real-time status updates of shipments using handheld devices or authorized digital tools.
- Strictly adhere to Standard Operating Procedures, safety regulations, and company policies while performing duties.
- Maintain vehicle readiness and compliance, secure shipments during transit, and report any incidents immediately.
- Maintain professional appearance by adhering to uniform and grooming standards, representing the company positively.
- Collaborate with shift in-charges and operational teams, supporting colleagues during peak times and contributing to overall branch goals.
Candidate Qualifications & Eligibility
- Minimum education qualification is completion of 10th standard; higher education is a plus.
- Experience is not mandatory; freshers or candidates with up to 2 years in logistics or delivery operations are eligible.
- Minimum age requirement is 18 years.
- Possession of a valid two-wheeler or four-wheeler driver’s license is required.
- Must own a two-wheeler if personal vehicle deployment is needed per company policy.
- Physically capable of performing field operations and willing to work across shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Essential Skills & Competencies
- Practical knowledge of pickup and delivery logistics, shipment handling, COD collection processes, and Proof of Delivery documentation.
- Proficiency in usage of scanning devices, mobile applications, and basic computer skills.
- Good command of basic English reading and comprehension.
- Customer orientation, integrity, dependability, and strong safety awareness.
- Effective teamwork, discipline, time management, accountability, positive attitude, and professional conduct.
Performance Metrics
- On-time pickups and deliveries, route efficiency, and delivery productivity.
- Accuracy in shipment handling, customer satisfaction, and first-attempt delivery success.
- Accuracy in COD collection, timely POD documentation, and zero errors in paperwork.
- Adherence to safety standards, company policies, SOPs, and consistent uniform/grooming compliance.
- Scanner usage compliance and contribution to branch service quality goals.
