Store Driver

Position Overview

This role involves the safe delivery of automotive parts to professional customers, handling returns, promoting sales materials, conducting credit collections, maintaining store cleanliness, general stocking duties, and engaging with customers to recommend suitable products and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently pick, stage, and deliver parts safely to professional clients.
• Collect returns and core components from customers.
• Distribute weekly and monthly sales flyers while highlighting current promotions and loyalty programs.
• Perform daily credit account collection tasks.
• Develop and sustain strong relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers, sharing valuable feedback gathered during deliveries.
• Support upselling and cross-selling efforts to boost average transaction values.
• Keep the store environment clean, including floors, bathrooms, product displays, dusting, and parking areas.
• Manage stock by organizing truck inventory, back stock, and conducting cycle counts.
• Maintain updated knowledge of available products and new stock arrivals to assist in sales processes.
• Engage proactively with walk-in customers to assess their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services.
• Fulfill any additional duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Previous automotive parts experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Effective communication skills in English; Spanish is advantageous.
• Ability to read and understand documents such as safety instructions, maintenance manuals, parts catalogs, and procedures.
• Comfortable performing basic arithmetic operations accurately including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Willingness to work varied schedules including days, evenings, and weekends as required.
• Confident in communicating with customers and promoting products.
• Aptitude for quickly learning about new products and sales strategies.

Physical and Work Environment

• Role requires frequent walking or standing, talking, hearing, and manual dexterity.
• Physical activities include reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Must frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally handle loads up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Necessary vision capabilities include close, distance, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
• Work is primarily indoors with occasional outdoor exposure to various weather conditions.
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, heights, chemicals, electrical hazards, explosives, and vibration may occur.
• Noise level generally moderate in the working environment.
