Staff Nurse - Elderly Care at Trinity Care

Role Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and driven Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join the dedicated team at a modern nursing home in Swords, County Dublin. This role involves delivering exceptional nursing care to elderly residents within a supportive and professional setting.

Essential Requirements

• Valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland as a Registered General Nurse or First Level Nurse.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• A heartfelt commitment to working with elderly populations.
• Proven ability to collaborate efficiently within a team environment.
• Familiarity with HIQA Standards.
• Prior experience in elderly care or nursing home settings is preferred.
• Supervisory experience considered an asset.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide top-quality nursing care, ensuring residents’ dignity and individual needs are respected.
• Conduct continuous health monitoring of residents, reporting any health concerns appropriately.
• Create, implement, and periodically review personalised care plans in partnership with residents, their families, and healthcare colleagues.
• Administer medications securely and maintain thorough documentation following NMBI regulations and institutional protocols.
• Keep comprehensive clinical records for each resident.
• Perform routine resident assessments and health evaluations.
• Deliver clear and detailed shift handovers to peers.
• Ensure a safe and comfortable atmosphere for residents at all times.
• Maintain effective communication with residents, their families, and the multidisciplinary care team.
