About the Internship
Join Orion Health's Software Engineering Summer Internship Programme and contribute to creating impactful digital health solutions. Over 10 to 12 weeks, interns work on authentic software projects, challenge technical skills, and gain guidance from experienced engineers. What You'll Do
- Collaborate with an engineering team to develop features that enhance patient care.
- Participate in designing, coding, testing, and debugging software.
- Create clean, maintainable code and develop backend services and APIs.
- Use modern tools and cloud technologies within an agile development approach.
- Engage with product managers, designers, and engineers and attend agile ceremonies like stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Candidate Profile
Applicants should be currently enrolled in degrees such as Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related disciplines. Some experience with Java, whether through coursework, projects, or internships, is expected. Familiarity with technologies like JavaScript/TypeScript, React/Angular, HTML/CSS, SQL, Git, REST APIs, AWS/Azure, and Linux/Bash scripting are advantageous but not mandatory.
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about learning new technologies, demonstrates critical thinking and curiosity, communicates effectively, takes initiative, collaborates well in teams, and is committed to producing quality software.
