The founding team is comprised of machine learning experts from prestigious institutions and previous experience at entities like Google Brain, Waymo, and Coursera.

Role Overview

As a Software Engineer at MintMCP, you will take full ownership of features from design through deployment across backend infrastructure, enterprise deployments, and agentic system components. Although the position primarily involves backend and infrastructure work, candidates should be versatile including contributing to UI development and connector maintenance when required.

Your daily environment will involve working with AI models Claude and Codex and a suite of agents to accelerate software development processes. Agents will assist with coding and reviewing, but your core responsibilities will involve architecture decisions, problem framing, enhancing product and user experience, strengthening security-related components, and validating AI-generated code.

The company welcomes engineers at various experience levels, valuing judgment, adaptability, and rapid delivery above formal titles or years of experience.

Candidate Profile

• Proven builder with experience launching products, tools, open-source projects, or serious personal projects.
• Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and technologies; learning speed valued equally with prior experience.
• Focus on delivering product value and meeting customer needs over technical perfection.
• Strong consideration for infrastructure impacts such as trust boundaries and risk exposure.
• Competency in reading and reasoning about unfamiliar code bases and making tradeoff decisions.
• Comfortable working across technology stacks including TypeScript, Python, and CockroachDB, or rapidly learning new languages and domains.
• Excited about working extensively with AI agents and discerning their benefits and limitations.
• Daily usage of AI tools and preference for a minimal process environment.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with developer tools, protocol or gateway architectures, or scaling infrastructure systems.
• Background in security, identity, or permission systems.
• Contributions to open source projects, MCP servers, or agent-based frameworks.
• Design awareness from both engineering and infrastructure perspectives.
