Social Care Worker - Agency Positions

About the Role

We are urgently looking for CORU-registered Social Care Workers to join agency teams supporting Tusla Residential Centres in locations including Limerick, Clare, Galway, and Dublin. This agency role offers the chance to positively influence the lives of children and adolescents in care while providing flexible working opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality care and support for children and young persons in residential environments.
• Cultivate supportive relationships that promote development, independence, and emotional strength.
• Assist with daily activities such as education support, recreational participation, and personal care routines.
• Keep meticulous records by maintaining daily logs, incident documentation, and care plans.
• Collaborate effectively with fellow social care professionals, social workers, and others to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
• Adhere strictly to CORU registration standards, organizational policies, and best practice guidelines.

Requirements

• Valid CORU registration as a Social Care Worker is mandatory.
• Experience working in residential care, social care, or youth services is preferred.
• Demonstrate empathy, patience, and excellent interpersonal communication abilities.
• Willingness and ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Strong collaboration skills and commitment to child safeguarding and protection standards.
