Site Supervisor - Rubber Lining at NTPC Korba

Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Site Supervisor to manage rubber lining activities at the NTPC Korba facility. This role involves overseeing on-site teams to ensure compliance with quality standards and facilitating timely completion of important infrastructure lining projects.

Primary Duties

• Oversee daily rubber lining operations including surface preparation, application, curing, and inspections.
• Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and NTPC personnel to meet project deadlines and uphold safety standards.
• Manage the use of materials, handling of equipment, and craftsmanship to meet ASTM and ISO rubber lining standards.
• Perform quality inspections, maintain thorough documentation of progress, and promptly raise any deviations or concerns.
• Ensure strict adherence to personal protective equipment usage, conduct risk assessments, and comply with all NTPC safety protocols.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
• At least five years of experience supervising rubber lining work, with preference for background in power plant or heavy industrial settings.
• Practical knowledge of rubber materials such as natural rubber, neoprene, and EPDM, including lining application techniques and testing procedures.
• Acquaintance with NTPC operational guidelines, industrial safety standards, and utilization of tools like thickness gauges and vulcanizers.
• Demonstrated leadership and communication capabilities along with the readiness to work on rotational shifts.
