Overview

Join the Oracle team in Ireland as a Site Reliability Developer 2, where you will apply your expertise to address intricate challenges involving cloud infrastructure services. You will design, develop, and deploy software aimed at enhancing the availability, scalability, and operational efficiency of Oracle's products and services.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the Site Reliability Engineering team to comprehensively manage a range of services and technology domains.
• Gain and maintain a thorough understanding of the end-to-end configurations, dependencies, and behaviors of production services.
• Lead the design and delivery of mission-critical technology stacks, emphasizing security, reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Be accountable for overall system performance and operational effectiveness.
• Work with development teams to identify and implement architectural improvements for Oracle Cloud services.
• Communicate technical aspects of services and technologies and guide teams in adding advanced capabilities to the service portfolio.
• Monitor and assess service scale, capacity, security, and performance requirements.
• Exhibit strong knowledge of automation and orchestration to facilitate operational efficiency.
• Serve as the escalation point for complex or critical incidents not yet covered by standard operating procedures.
• Use deep insights into service topology and dependencies to troubleshoot issues and determine resolutions.
• Explain the impact of architectural choices on distributed system behavior.
• Maintain a genuine enthusiasm for understanding services and technologies at a deep level.
