Job description
About Luxehouze
Luxehouze is an expanding omnichannel luxury platform operating in Indonesia and Singapore. It caters to affluent customers interested in watches, fashion, and beauty, emphasizing trust, rapid service, and high-quality outcomes. The company prioritizes results over mere activity.
Role Overview & Challenges
We are seeking a Singapore Luxury Market and Sourcing Consultant who naturally takes ownership, focuses on delivering outcomes, and is eager to develop, enhance, and scale operations rather than only performing assigned tasks.
This role comes with significant challenges including high and transparent expectations, fast-changing priorities in a scaling business environment, frequent direct feedback, ambiguity in problem-solving situations, and performance metrics strictly based on results. If you thrive better with strict structure or close supervision, this role may not suit you.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a consultant for the Singapore luxury market and buying trends, offering ongoing insights on consumer demand across luxury fashion, handbags, shoes, accessories, and related categories.
- Recognize current and forecasted trending luxury products, brands, collections, colors, styles, and materials specific to Singapore.
- Track market signals from boutiques, resale platforms, social media, influencers, fashion communities, and luxury events to detect early demand trends.
- Recommend products and brands for purchasing and sourcing based on market desirability, liquidity, and resale potential.
- Provide detailed perspectives on Singapore consumer preferences, segmented by demographics like gender, age, occasion, and price range.
- Guide Growth, Merchandising, and Commercial teams on product assortments and buying priorities tailored for Singapore.
- Spot potential fast-selling high-demand products as well as emerging niche markets with high trend potential.
- Compile comprehensive market intelligence and buying advice reports including justifications and recommendations on priority products.
- Use personal industry networks to identify and connect the company with suppliers, dealers, collectors, resellers, boutiques, or relevant sourcing resources.
- Support evaluation of potential sourcing opportunities by reviewing product desirability, marketability, pricing, and sales potential.
- Provide competitor insights regarding assortments, pricing, promotions, and availability to identify market opportunities and gaps.
- Collaborate with the Growth team to convert market insights into commercial strategies, marketing campaigns, collections, and product launches.
- Source and acquire luxury watches, handbags, jewelry, and other items from sellers, collectors, dealers, and business partners in Singapore.
- Establish and grow relationships with high-net-worth clients, collectors, and industry contacts to ensure premium inventory.
- Analyze market trends, pricing strategies, and demand to guide strategic purchasing that optimizes profitability.
- Find sourcing openings through networking, events, referrals, and digital platforms.
- Closely monitor competitor pricing, product availability, and market dynamics in Singapore's luxury sector.
- Ensure all procurement complies with company policies and applicable regulations.
Requirements & Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in luxury fashion, retail, buying, merchandising, consulting, personal shopping, resale, or closely related fields.
- Thorough knowledge of the Singapore luxury market and local buying behaviors.
- Familiarity with key luxury brands including Hermès, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Celine, Dior, Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Loewe, Prada, Balenciaga, The Row, and others.
- Deep understanding of luxury product desirability, trends, and resale markets, especially handbags, fashion, and accessories.
- Ability to forecast emerging trends before they become mainstream.
- Strong analytical and commercial skills to discern genuinely profitable market demand beyond transient fashion.
- A robust network within Singapore's luxury ecosystem is highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to transform market insights into actionable recommendations.
- Comfort with independent work in a consulting or freelance manner with minimal oversight.
- Highly developed aesthetics, product expertise, and understanding of luxury brand positioning.
- Existing connections with luxury suppliers, dealers, collectors, resellers, or other relevant sourcing networks will be a strong plus.
