About the Role
Join a leading global company specializing in sustainable energy by becoming a Service Technician focused on maintaining and servicing wind turbines. This opportunity enables you to apply and expand your expertise in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems to support reliable wind farm operations across multiple regional locations in Australia.
Responsibilities
- Adhere strictly to safety and environmental regulations while achieving service performance goals.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance tasks on turbine components including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic parts, diagnosing and resolving issues as per company standards.
- Utilize condition monitoring and remote control technologies to ensure smooth turbine operation.
- Manage the upkeep of service vehicles and inventory, ordering necessary tools and parts to maintain readiness.
- Assemble and service turbine components following prescribed guidelines, making use of handling equipment such as cranes when required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Trade certification in electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic disciplines, with eagerness to deepen expertise.
- Proficient computer skills for managing documentation and monitoring work processes.
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.

- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety standards.
- Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing turbines and working in varying weather conditions.
- Willingness to travel between sites as necessary.
- Excellent teamwork and communication aptitude to collaborate with field and business personnel.

Work Conditions and Location
- Work is performed across multiple regional sites in Australia: WA (Merredin, Jurian Bay, Geraldton), SA (Port Augusta/Whyalla, Millicent/Mt Gambier), VIC (Warnambool, Ballarat, Sale), NSW (Canberra/Goulburn, Inverall/Glen Innes), QLD (Hughenden, Chinchilla/Dulacca, Atherton), TAS (Musselroe, Granville Harbour).
- This position is not rostered as FIFO; employees must reside in or near assigned regions.
- Standard work hours are 8 hours per day with on-call duties approximately once every 3-4 weeks during weekends.
- Annual travel to sites is around 50 days.
