Role Overview

The AI and Knowledge Engineering team strives to deliver outstanding product experiences through cutting-edge technologies in Knowledge Graphs, AI agents, LLMs, AIGC, ML, NLP, CV, and multi-modal models. We seek engineers passionate about advancing semantic knowledge bases and AI applications, to help us build a world-class team in AI, NLP, and machine learning domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop Generative AI and AI agent systems to tackle complex eCommerce challenges.
• Create and improve large language and vision models for advanced predictive and composite AI functionalities.
• Train foundational AI models to support learning systems development.
• Define end-to-end processes and experiments for foundational AI model creation.
• Build pipelines to store and serve foundational models efficiently.
• Mentor team members on frameworks and methodologies encompassing data lakes, normalization, dimension reduction, visualization, and statistical modeling.
• Ensure model training adheres to security and compliance standards.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align foundational models with overall AI strategies.

Basic Qualifications

• Over 5 years of experience in data science focused on building scalable foundational models for eCommerce scenarios.
• Proven expertise in post-training and deployment of large language models.
• In-depth knowledge of AI, LLM, AIGC, and machine learning system architectures.
• Strong foundation in statistics and mathematics, including metric definition, learning functions, and analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, PySpark, Scala, and R.
• Skilled in frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Spark, and BigQuery.
• Experience with AI-specific coding environments like Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Code, and Codex.
• Proven ability in developing complex data visualization tools and frameworks.
• Expertise in dimension reduction techniques applied to large datasets.
• Familiarity with cloud analytics stacks including data lakes, warehouses, and ETL pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with inference platforms on AWS, Azure, and open-source alternatives.
• Customer-focused with a results-driven mindset, adaptable and impactful.
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation.
• Strong enthusiasm for large language models, NLP, and scalable machine learning.
• Educational background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
