About the Role
Prove It Catalysts is seeking a senior, hands-on security engineer to help protect game clients, product surfaces, backend services, cloud infrastructure, and delivery pipelines. This role is for someone who can partner directly with engineering teams to build automated, scalable security controls across modern game and cloud-native environments.
The position focuses on game security, product security, application security, Unity client protection, backend hardening, AWS security, and DevSecOps. It is not a monitoring-only or compliance-only role; the expectation is to design, code, automate, and embed security into engineering workflows.
What You Will Do
- Protect Unity-based game clients, asset bundles, downloaded content, and content delivery paths.
- Build controls such as signed asset manifests, integrity checks, secure bundle loading, and trusted-source validation.
- Reduce exposure from leaked internal endpoints, hidden or test features, reverse engineering, tampering, and asset theft.
- Improve game integrity through signature validation, secret isolation, secure key storage, and key rotation practices.
- Assess third-party SDKs used in game clients and backend systems.
- Maintain an SDK inventory, assess permissions, track vulnerabilities, and manage approvals for new integrations.
- Embed security checks into CI/CD pipelines using Bamboo and GitHub Actions.
- Automate scanning, validation, and enforcement across development and release workflows.
- Secure web and backend applications built with ASP.NET Core, React, and Angular.
- Implement AWS security controls across IAM, EC2, ECS, EKS, ECR, SCP, SSM, containers, runtime environments, and deployment pipelines.
- Create security automation utilities using Python, C#, and Bash.
- Design infrastructure security using Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
- Integrate security into artifact management and developer processes using JFrog and Git-based workflows.
- Collaborate with game development, backend, DevOps, platform, and leadership teams to strengthen product security.
Requirements
- 8 to 12+ years of experience in security engineering, application security, product security, platform security, or software engineering with a security focus.
- Practical experience securing game clients, ideally Unity-based games.
- Strong knowledge of client-side threats such as reverse engineering, tampering, obfuscation, asset protection, and secure content delivery.
- Experience protecting backend applications and APIs built on ASP.NET Core.
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS security, especially IAM, EC2, ECS, EKS, ECR, SCP, and SSM.
- Experience bringing security into CI/CD pipelines and developer workflows.
- Solid scripting or programming ability in C#, Python, and/or Bash.
- Good understanding of cryptography, key management, secret storage, and key rotation.
- Experience reviewing third-party SDKs, monitoring vulnerabilities, and managing software supply-chain risk.
- Ability to work as a builder who can create scalable security solutions and improve security without slowing down delivery.
- Preferred backgrounds include gaming companies, mobile gaming companies, product companies, SaaS platforms, cloud platform companies, application security teams, product security teams, and DevSecOps teams.
Good to Have
- Experience in mobile gaming security.
- Exposure to live-service gaming platforms.
- Background in anti-tampering or anti-cheat systems.
- Offensive security or reverse engineering experience.
- Knowledge of CDN security and secure content distribution.
- Security certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, CEH, or similar.
Application Details
Applicants should be ready to share an updated resume along with total experience, relevant experience in game security or product security, current CTC, expected CTC, notice period, current location, and preferred work mode.
