Senior Recruitment Consultant

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Recruitment Consultant based in Wellington who excels at building and nurturing relationships, thrives on momentum and success, and operates effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic sales environment spanning various industries. Candidates with experience in B2B sales or other sales disciplines who are proactive at making outreach calls to potential employers and candidates are encouraged to apply.

Primary Responsibilities

• Identify and source new business leads through cold calling and meeting employers within the local New Zealand territory to assess staffing requirements.
• Advertise job vacancies on platforms such as Seek NZ and utilize database searches to locate suitable talent.
• Conduct thorough candidate screening via phone and face-to-face interviews, verify references, and ensure candidates meet New Zealand work eligibility requirements, including drug and alcohol testing.
• Support candidates throughout the interview stages, facilitate salary or hourly rate negotiations, and finalize job offers.
• Maintain accurate and current records of candidates and clients within the recruitment CRM system.

Candidate Requirements

• Between one and three years of experience in recruitment, talent searching (HR), B2B sales, or customer relationship management.
• Demonstrate strong communication, negotiation, and time management abilities.
• Preferable to have basic knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation and immigration policies.
