Senior IT/ICT Engineer

Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Senior IT/ICT Engineer who brings extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing data center, telecommunication, and ICT systems. The role demands expertise in both operational leadership and strategic planning to develop scalable, secure, and state-of-the-art solutions for enterprise and telecommunications infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and develop detailed IT/ICT solutions encompassing data center infrastructure, network designs, and telecommunication frameworks.
• Produce comprehensive technical documentation, including blueprints and diagrams, aligned with business objectives and industry standards.
• Lead full lifecycle project execution of IT/ICT initiatives including integration, configuration, testing, and deployment.
• Supervise deployments in data centers and telecom setups, ensuring high availability and minimal service disruptions.
• Provide technical direction during system rollouts, migrations, and enhancements.
• Manage data center operations covering server, storage, and networking components while improving performance through virtualization, automation, and monitoring tools.
• Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to safeguard infrastructure.
• Design and deploy telecommunications solutions such as WAN, SD-WAN, MPLS, and carrier-grade networks in cooperation with service providers.
• Enhance monitoring and analytical capabilities to maintain optimal network performance.
• Develop enterprise ICT solutions including unified communications, collaborative platforms, and cloud integration ensuring smooth interoperability with data center and telecom systems.
• Lead innovation by integrating emerging ICT technologies.
• Manage complex projects involving multiple vendors, cross-team coordination, and subcontractor oversight to meet deadlines and maintain quality.
• Mentor and train junior engineers and technical staff.
• Ensure that designs comply with security protocols, regulations such as ISO 27001 and GDPR, and maintain infrastructure resilience.
• Identify and address potential risks for IT/ICT systems proactively.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years’ proven experience in IT/ICT engineering, particularly in data center and telco design and implementation.
• Strong proficiency with data center servers, storage solutions, virtualization, telecommunication networks (WAN, SD-WAN, MPLS), and ICT platforms like UCaaS and enterprise applications.
• Hands-on expertise in managing hybrid cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
• In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, infrastructure design, and network security architecture.
• Experience with automation frameworks such as Ansible and Terraform, and container orchestration systems like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, VMware VCP, ITIL, PMP) are highly preferred.
