Role Summary
The Senior Interior Designer will lead the management of residential design projects, collaborating directly with clients from the initial consultation through to finalizing designs and confirming orders. The ideal candidate will blend creativity with a strong customer focus, ensuring that all designs are practical, aesthetically pleasing, and adhere to the client's budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee assigned clients through the entire design process, from first consultation to order placement.
- Interpret client needs to develop functional and visually appealing design proposals.
- Prepare precise cost estimates, comprehensive designs, and production-ready technical drawings.
- Verify that designs are practical for installation and consistent with site conditions.
- Collaborate with production, operations, and installation teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Present design ideas and pricing with confidence to clients.
- Maintain strong client satisfaction levels and achieve sales conversion goals.
Qualifications and Expertise Required
- Diploma or degree in Interior Design or Architecture with 1 to 3 years of formal education.
- Between 2 to 5 years of practical experience in residential interior design projects.
- Hands-on site experience to understand installation constraints and opportunities.
- Mandatory proficiency in Google SketchUp for design development.
- Strong grasp of space planning, modular furniture manufacturing, materials knowledge, and project execution workflows.
- A client-focused mindset with the capacity to harmonize design, usability, and budgets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluency in English is essential; familiarity with the local language is a beneficial extra.
