Key Responsibilities

• Develop scalable machine learning and analytical models to address complex business challenges.
• Extract and analyze pertinent insights from extensive historical business data to automate and improve critical processes.
• Design, build, assess, and implement innovative and scalable predictive models.
• Research and adopt cutting-edge machine learning and statistical techniques.
• Collaborate closely with software engineering teams to realize real-time model deployments and create novel features.
• Partner with business and operational teams to optimize various aspects of business performance.
• Define and enact efficient, automated large-scale data analysis, model creation, validation, and implementation workflows.
• Provide mentorship to fellow scientists and engineers on machine learning methodologies.

About the Team

The International Machine Learning Team focuses on crafting innovative machine learning solutions tailored to challenges in India and emerging markets like MENA and Latin America, significantly impacting both the top and bottom lines of Amazon's business in these regions.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of experience developing machine learning models for business applications.
• PhD or a Master's degree paired with 6+ years of applied research experience.
• Proficiency in programming languages including Java, C++, or Python.
• Experience with neural networks, deep learning, and general machine learning techniques.
• Preferred experience with modeling frameworks such as R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, TensorFlow, numpy, and scipy.
• Familiarity with large-scale distributed computing platforms like Hadoop and Spark.
