Security Supervisor

Overview

The Security Supervisor role involves managing daily security operations within the hotel to ensure the safety and protection of guests, staff, visitors, hotel premises, and assets. This position requires overseeing the Security team, coordinating security measures, responding to emergencies, and enforcing compliance with hotel policies and UAE regulations, all while maintaining professional excellence and superior guest service standards.

Primary Duties

• Lead and manage daily activities of the Security team across all hotel locations.
• Assign tasks and ensure shifts are staffed adequately.
• Conduct briefings, roll calls, and ensure smooth handovers for each shift.
• Monitor team performance, attendance, conduct, and grooming standards.
• Perform routine patrols throughout guest areas, service zones, parking, and public spaces.
• Guarantee security and safety for guests, personnel, contractors, and visitors.
• React swiftly to emergencies including security breaches, accidents, medical incidents, and fire alarms.
• Lead initial incident responses and coordinate with police, Civil Defence, and emergency responders as needed.
• Investigate occurrences such as incidents, thefts, or customer complaints and compile detailed reports.
• Oversee surveillance systems such as CCTV, access controls, and fire alarms.
• Ensure adherence to all security policies, emergency protocols, and health & safety regulations.
• Conduct inspections to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Support emergency drills and evacuation exercises.
• Manage lost and found procedures linked to hotel policy.
• Control access for contractors and manage visitor processes.
• Maintain key and access card security procedures.
• Keep precise logs, incident records, and shift documentation up to date.
• Deliver exemplary customer service when addressing guest issues discreetly and professionally.
• Train, guide, and mentor security personnel through ongoing coaching and practical sessions.
• Communicate with hotel management and external authorities regarding security matters.
• Assist Security Manager with performance reviews, scheduling, and operational plans.
• Carry out any additional responsibilities assigned by the Security Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least 3 to 5 years of experience as a security supervisor in a hotel setting.
• Preferred background includes working at a luxury five-star hotel or similar hospitality environment.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken Arabic and English is required; knowledge of other languages is advantageous.
