Job Overview

This part-time, seasonal Security Guard position supports game-day and event operations at Delta Dental Stadium. The role is vital to ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for attendees, staff, and players. Excellent verbal communication skills are necessary for professional interaction with guests and personnel.

Key Duties

• Maintain a prominent security presence to safeguard guests, staff, players, and visiting parties.
• Provide clear, confident, and courteous communication to guests and staff, including offering directions and explaining stadium guidelines.
• Perform guest screening using metal detectors in compliance with Minor League Baseball and Fisher Cats security policies.
• Inspect bags and prohibited items following stadium security protocols.
• Regulate access points by verifying tickets, credentials, and required authorization for restricted zones.

Qualifications

• Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent credential.
• Prior experience in security, customer service, or event staffing is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and an eagerness to engage with guests actively.
• Capable of maintaining alertness, professionalism, and engagement throughout shifts.
• Physical ability to stand and walk for prolonged durations and navigate stairs.
• Quick responsiveness in dynamic situations.
• Successful completion of a background check.
• Availability for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Employment is part-time and seasonal, running from the current period until mid-September.
• Shifts generally span 4 to 6 hours, mostly during evenings and weekends.
• Work takes place outdoors and is subject to weather variations.
• A uniform shirt and hat will be provided to employees.
