The Script Craft (TSC) is a platform in India that brings together writers and filmmakers through script contests, story development, and related industry programs.

Role overview

This position is for a Content Curator who can review a large number of writer-submitted synopses and scripts, identify the strongest material, and use that judgment for two purposes: public promotion and internal shortlisting for possible production. The work combines editorial evaluation with the ability to spot emerging writing talent. Selected pieces may be showcased on social channels to encourage contest participation, while others may be recommended for development into AI films, web series, or feature films.

What you will do

• Review incoming synopses and scripts from ongoing contests on a steady, high-volume basis.
• Select the most promising synopses for social media features that highlight the story and motivate more writers to enter contests.
• Partner with the social media team to turn curated material into posts, reels, or carousels that are easy for a broad audience to engage with.
• Maintain a separate shortlist of submissions with strong adaptation potential and indicate whether they are better suited to AI filmmaking, a web series, or a feature film.
• Work with the production team to pass along shortlisted work for further development.
• Create and improve a clear evaluation framework based on originality, structure, commercial appeal, and adaptability so reviews stay consistent as the volume increases.
• Monitor trends in submissions, including genre mix, format patterns, and quality changes, and share those insights with leadership.
• Build connections with promising writers for possible future collaboration.

Requirements

• About 2 to 4 years of experience in content curation, script coverage, editorial work, or a similar story-assessment role.
• Strong understanding of story structure across short films, web series, and feature-length formats.
• Very good written and spoken English; knowledge of Hindi or another regional language is an added advantage.
• Ability to assess large numbers of submissions quickly while keeping judgments consistent.
• Comfort working across teams, especially with social media and production colleagues.
• Strong interest in India’s independent writing and filmmaking ecosystem.
• Experience doing script coverage for a production house, studio, or OTT platform is preferred.
• An existing network in the indie filmmaking or writing space is an advantage.
• Exposure to AI filmmaking tools or curiosity about new production formats is useful.
