Role Summary

The Sales Representative for the East Coast Air Force division will engage in building and nurturing client relationships by delivering innovative, mission-centric products and procurement solutions. This role requires managing sales opportunities, account relationships, and end-user needs across assigned military agencies and departments.

Responsibilities

  • Surpass quarterly and annual revenue and profit targets.
  • Forge and sustain customer and vendor partnerships, exploring new market possibilities in the designated territory.
  • Maintain and communicate a detailed weekly sales pipeline including leads, quotes, and orders.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop requirements for bids and contracts regarding equipment and services.
  • Travel to client sites and participate in industry events such as symposiums and trade shows to develop sales leads.
  • Gather and relay competitive and market intelligence to leadership.
  • Provide accurate pricing, credit terms, warranties, and delivery schedules.
  • Use CRM and ERP tools for quoting and order processing.
  • Support Inside Sales with data entry, quotes, and funding option identification.
  • Recommend products tailored to customer needs and interests.
  • Perform administrative tasks including report preparation, sales documentation, and expense management within corporate deadlines.
  • Work with product teams to enhance or modify offerings for customer benefit.
  • Efficiently process incoming quotes via various communication channels.
  • Design marketing tactics to generate new sales leads within the region.
  • Execute a coordinated inside/outside sales strategy involving territory management and vendor relations.
  • Maintain active communication with management, colleagues, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and partners.
  • Take full ownership of the sales process from inception to completion.
  • Manage scheduling using tools such as Google Calendar for client calls, travel, and pipeline activities.

Territory Coverage

Key locations include Joint Base Andrews, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Dover Air Force Base, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, Hanscom Air Force Base, Otis Air National Guard Base, among others across the East Coast.

Customer and Mission Focus

Primary support revolves around Special Operations Forces missions, rapid acquisitions, and associated federal/military customers.

Qualifications

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Government Sales and Federal Contracting processes.
  • Experience dealing with Department of Defense, Military units, Federal agencies, and Law Enforcement bodies.
  • Capable of independently meeting deadlines with minimal oversight.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.
  • Potential eligibility for obtaining a security clearance if necessary.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree plus three years of sales experience, or alternatively five years of relevant industry experience without a degree.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Experience using Salesforce CRM.
  • Competent internet research abilities.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems like NetSuite is advantageous.

Physical and Work Environment

  • Primarily office-based work environment.
  • Regular customer visits at varied locations and a home office setup for administrative duties.
