Job description
Position Overview
Goulburn Mulwaree Council is looking for a Resource Recovery Officer who is dedicated to customer service and committed to environmental sustainability. This role involves hands-on work at the Council's Waste Management Centres where you will assist visitors, promote proper recycling and waste disposal practices, and ensure facilities maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage daily with customers at Waste Management Centres, providing assistance and guidance.
- Operate weighbridge and gatehouse systems accurately.
- Support initiatives aimed at recovering resources and educating the community on waste disposal best practices.
- Maintain safe, clean, and efficient facility operations.
Terms and Benefits
- Weekly salary ranging between $1165 and $1311 based on skills and experience, plus 12% superannuation.
- Possible application of penalty rates; further details available upon inquiry.
- Work schedule includes a 9-day fortnight with an open spread of hours totaling 76 hours, including rostered weekends.
