Role Overview
The Quality Technician will support the rollout and day-to-day execution of the QFS Management System in the plant. The role focuses on making sure products meet specification through regular inspection, testing and monitoring, while helping teams understand and follow QFS requirements. The position also involves working with stakeholders to address issues quickly and keep quality, food safety and compliance targets on track.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement the QFS policy and carry out the responsibilities assigned under the QFS management system.
- Inspect product quality against specifications using the inspection sheet and prepare the related reports.
- Track compliance with food safety standards, Good Manufacturing Practices and hygiene requirements.
- Perform behavioral safety observations when assigned by the plant QFS Manager.
- Identify deviations, inform the relevant stakeholders and ensure immediate corrective action, including holding and releasing nonconforming product according to procedure.
- Check and confirm that corrective actions are effective and deliver the expected improvements.
- Support the QFS training program as directed by the plant QFS Manager.
- Carry out sanitation verification and bio-trace activities according to sanitation procedure requirements.
- Offer QFS guidance, coaching and advice to plant teams and help identify recurring competency gaps for training.
- Contribute to QFS management system development and ongoing improvement efforts as assigned by the plant QFS Manager.
- Promote and reinforce positive behaviors and best practices.
- Ensure calibration of QFS control equipment, including metal detectors, primary and secondary weighers, check weighers, seal checkers, balances and similar devices.
- Complete any other tasks assigned by the direct manager that support the main purpose of the role.
Requirements
- A diploma in chemistry, quality control, food safety or another natural sciences field is required.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Strong command of Arabic and English is needed, along with computer literacy.
- Ability to work independently with a proactive and business-minded approach.
- Good presentation and communication skills, with the ability to influence others both inside and outside the organization without direct reporting lines.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability, including root-cause analysis and action planning.
